I could use some input here from readers and fellow bloggers and anyone else who happens to stumble on the site…
I had originally planned to change the name of the site in a grand unveiling around the opening of the NHL season…. The Blog has a second domain and that was going to be the name of the site: RawLightning.
Yet I’m starting to not be so sure if Boltsmag should be renamed or not.
I’d appreciate everyone commenting and giving their two cents.

John-
I vote for keeping it Boltsmag. I like the name, new look and the added links.
Boltsmag, keep it.
Also, I may have missed it, you don’t have a link to the official TBL site. It would improve your search engine relevance ranking.

I’ve always liked BoltsMag. You’ve already got a built-in readership, so why change?
I like the name and domain better. But what you will have to deal with is starting a brand new site from scratch and generating traffic and links to it. If this isn’t a big deal to you then go for it, but if you want to keep it easy then you already have this site.
BoltsMag is familiar, and I don’t really know why the change would do any good. Stick with what you’ve got, Jonh.
i say keep boltsmag…..love the name!!!!
When I first starting finding all the hockey blogs, I thought boltsmag was one of the coolest name around. I vote for you to keep it.
ditto on keeping the name
Does it really have to be one or the other? Just have the hosting company point both domains to the same spot in their DNS server settings, just as you have it setup now. I doubt anyone (regular reader or other) would complain if you changed the header graphic to say “Raw Lightning” instead of “Boltsmag”. People come here for your writings on hockey and the team; regardless of what you call it or how it looks, content is king, and you put out quality content. If you’re worried about “branding” the website, then stick with BoltsMag, since that’s the one that’s been around longer.

I’ve had the link since the beginning of Boltsmag. Though it’s not the official name of the official site and what not…
