John Tortorella isn’t comfortable holding onto 23 players, the Lightning are bumping their heads on the cap…
Jay Feaster is pressed to do something but what? Demote Reid? Doesn’t solve enough problems. try to move Afanasenkov to the minors? Many might deem that a worthy waiver risk. Make a trade? Who for and involvng whom? Generic answers would involve Lightning bit players (or Daryl Sydor) and would likely be seeking defensive help or a goalie in return… Mind you, I say those are generic answers as Lightning fans should know that getting a Goalie is not going to be an easy task via trade…
What I’m not sure about is Lightning property and if there is a market for players playing overseas….
Whatta ya do, Jack? Whatta ya do?

They should trade Affy while other teams can still see some value in him. Torts is not gonna give him a shot in the top lines anymore. Dingman should also go if he’s not gonna get the ice time to fill the enforcer role and Vinny is going to do all the fighting, Artuhkin can fill the big man role otherwise. Both moves give room for younger talent and/or a defenseman.
I don’tt hink Afanasenkov has trade value from how he is being so strongly damned… I think he shoudl be put on waivers to be sent down — maybe afterwards we can deal him…
I think someone we’re not thinking of will be moved — or it will be a multiplayer thing with a few shifts on the roster. maybe not though seeing Feaster preaches having chemistry in tehlocker room
