Sad to see Captain Dave leave in this way. He did so much for the Lightning organization. Not only was he a great player, but a great team leader and role model. He will be missed by the fans. Thank you for all your hard work here in Tampa.

If I remember correctly his 2 year contract was front-loaded in case he didn’t play next year, that way it would count less against the cap this year.

something like 950k this year and 550k next… the numbers may be wrong but you get the idea.

the forum for Sunsports is now saying it’s a rumor that went out of control. I’m not sure the statics, but he has been winning face offs, but he’s a -11, the worst of the team.
