Callups
The Lightning have made a move:
The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled centre Nick Tarnasky and right wing Darren Reid from Springfield of the American Hockey League.
Nick scored a hat trick versus Bridgeport last night, so he is coming up while flying high.
I’m curious if it’s just the lack of intensity that led to the call ups — I have not heard about injuries. I hope it’s not the “We won’t make a trade but must shake things up” type move.

Yeah. It’s quite obvious it’s a move that is intended to put some new energy on the ice. They’ve been here before, albeit for a short amount of time, so it shouldn’t take much time, if at all, to adjust. Everyone always hopes that there is going to be some big blockbuster trade, but I honestly don’t think we’re going to see that here. Feaster has seemed a little too sentimental this season .. we could use Cibak and Afanasenkov (maybe even Milley since he hasn’t been reassigned to S’field?)as trade bait, but I have no idea who would have interest and what we would get in return. Who knows what’s going to happen by the end of this week, if anything.
