No shit, oh shit.

The Canes were all over the Lightning to open, they seemed to take a step back as the period progressed though. Still, the Bolts look a little shaky (to say the least) out there. 5-on-3 re-comences after intermission.

Did I miss something here? Rick just said they are without Kubina too?

Sydor’s back though…

Missed a lot of the game on the phone. I see Sydor is back, and the Carolina guys are talking about Artyukhin a lot. The Bolts are coming on w/ the pressure when they’re in the attacking zone, but seem to be having trouble clearing the defensive zone.
It’s not a good place to be if we’re relying on Grahame to save the game… down 2-1, granted.

They are playing a lot of Defense and can’t get anything started on offense because of it. Add the calls going one way and it’s a valient effort — just short.

14.9 left = no way.

Great save by Gerber at the last second. Canes clinch the SE?
March 27th, 2006 at 9:34 pm
Thought it was already clinched, Gary, but if it wasn’t before — it is now.

Earlier tonight, Canes’ TV guys said they needed a single point to clinch. IMHO, two points is a little gratuitous.
Showoffs.

Amen, bro. Amen. Nice having you around tonight.
I plan more of these Game threads over the next few days - just to see if anyone else will chime in.
