Rick DiPetro gets a fifteen year sentence… er, contract with the New York Islanders…
The Islanders gave up Roberto Luongo and Kevin Weekes between the pipes because they were so sure about Rick at the time of his drafting… Yet the longevity of this deal makes me wonder if the contract will turn into another Yashin attrocity?

Hmmm…it’s kind of weird/interesting that he would sign a contract for sooo long. Who knows, maybe in a couple years they will “promote” him into a GM spot like Garth Snow got. DiPietro is a goalie and an Islander and that seems to be the current qualities that they look for in a GM.
