There are two rumors that have been around for a while: Feaster wants to shore up the defense through a trade and one of the players that are up for barter is Ruslan Fedotenko. Russ is a UFA after the season and will command a bigger payday than what Feaster is willing to pay. The last rumor that I saw (yesterday) had the Islanders and the Flames interested in Feds. The Flames have defense to spare... I have more thoughts on this but I hope to make a blog post about it. We absolutely need to spark the offense in the second line, as a minimum. Defense has looked better the past few games. But I agree - we cannot hit the playoffs with just one line. I love EP but so far he is just not a finisher in the NHL and Feds is just so streaky I hope he heats up in the playoffs or we are going no where with only 1 line.
