Tim --

The market was set in the FOrsberg trade, and that means the sellers are goign to be getting a lot more than the buyers in dealing right now. Asking prices will likely drop by the time the deadline arrives, but it also might mean other teams will get desperate and overpay for help.

The Lightning have bigger needs than a puglist. But their need for a gritty forward really makes me yearn for Evgeny Artyukhin (who is supposed to return to the Lightning next season from what an article in the St. Pete Times reported last month).

The Stinking Panthers still suck. One day when it counts the most, I hope the Lightning will get their retribtion with huge beat-down. Tonight as we pulled out a shoot out win, in a poorly played game, I couldn't help but keep thinkimg, when are the Lightning going to finally say they have had enough of these bottom feeding ditch-eels and finally toss the gloves. I guess thats why I'm not a coach with a Stanley cup ring. Its frustrating to watch a rival team get in your grill for the whole game, but please lets add some depth and toughness, before the door shuts. These last 21 games are going to be a meat grinder and we still have two left with the aformentioned ditch-eels. So come on uncle Feaster what are you waiting for, lets pull the trigger on a deal before we get an injury or the door closes at the deadline. Don't wait til the last minute like you did last year and come up with nada.

Atlanta won their game 3-1. They are back in 1st as it stands at this moment.

Marty scored #36 on a power play after Roberts was called for a high stick. All tie dup with less than 12 minutes to play.

Marsha, the BOlts were booed off the ice from what I was told after this period. They are sleepwalking thorugh this.

The FSN Sports people are talking about sweeping the remaining five games agaisnt the Lightning and getting into the playoff race. With how half-assed we are playing, it would seem logical to have visions of grandeur like that.

Why do these bottom feeders give us such fits? I don't get it. Hope we wake up 3rd period.

Someone correct me on this -- the scoresheet says Gratton took a double minor? 4 minutes of PP time and we didn't score?

PP to end the period now

Horton again, 2-1

Damnit, we have GOT to win this one. Carolina is leading Atlanta... If they win and we loose they leap frog both teams

Shots 9/8 in favor of the Panthers from what NHL.com says.

Craig with goal #1, while Horton scored unassisted.
