Bolt Prospects has touched on the rumors up north that the Lightning and Springfield Falcons may terminate their affiliation deal.
The Norfolk Admirals were named within the rumors as becoming the Lightning’s new AHL affiliate. Lets keep our ears open on this one.

Well, the Nawfalk Admirals are the only AHL (well, ECHL then) team that I’ve seen in person. So I have that goin’ for me.
During the Wild-Oiler game Thursday night, GM Pat LaForge told the media that there would be a big announcement on their new AHL franchise early next week. Later on Sports Talk Radio, Jason Gregor leaked that Springfield is the likely location.
