You need reason not to trade Vincent?

You needed to only look at the banter on the bench before Vincent Lecavalier took his penalty shot on Thursday night.

You only had to feel the electricity in the building. The fans on the edge of their seat.

This was the captain going in. This was the franchise going one on one. And you damned well better have seen the reaction from the fans and the bench when he slipped it through.

If you can’t market that, you shouldn’t be in the business. If you can’t find the value in that – you shouldn’t be a player in the game of running a pro sports franchise.

The Lightning returned home tonight to face the rival Flyers and what was accomplished on ice was nothing short of the fantastic. It was the type of effort the Lightning have only shown a handful of times all season: peppering the Flyers with shots, contributions from all. 4-1 final. Vaclav “Vinny” Prospal’s second tenure in Tampa Bay is over. He has been dealt to the Flyers for Alexandre Picard. and a draft selection.

Prospal has paved hsi way out of town by performing well in a contract year as well as fueding with Lightning head coach John Tortorella. Of course, Jay Feaster lays a goose egg of sorts in this deal — more defense, Jay?

many fans are worryign this sis the begining of the end for the Lightning… Jay Feaster will not be a popular man in tampa tomorrow afternoon if the rumors remain consistent that Brad Richards will be leaving as well as Dan Boyle.

The end of a four game homestand comes tonight as the Lightning look to continue their victorious ways against the Eastern Conference leading Philadelphia Flyers.

The Lightning are 9-1-1 in their last 11 — absolutely on fire while the Flyers are equally hot, standing 11-3-1 in there last 15 games. The Flyers, however, along with losing Jeremy Roenick to injury, are playing back-to-back games…. Having lost to the Sharks in Philadelphia last night, 5-2.

Nikolai Khabibulin will be in goal tonight for the Lightning…
